Heard some dumb kid today instructing everyone to not purchase gas on May 15 because if we didn't gas prices would drop instantly by 30 cents a gallon (and maybe even 60 cents!).
Where's that "banging head on wall" icon.. could really use it here.
Sadder still, the people he was telling it to believed him.

I bet if everyone in america chose a day and didn't buy a drop of gas anywhere across the map that day...... The gas people would raise the prices just to [censored] with everybody.
Sounds like a more likely scenario to me!

We have to change our actual consumption drastically in order to have any type of effect on things, unless a myspace bulletin or mass email says to just delay purchases by a day - then it has to be the gospel truth, because you have to believe those..right?

I would love to see the public try and form some sort of strike on gas. The gas people would sit back and laugh their asses off, then they would hit us with 5 dollars a gallon for a couple of days just to piss everyone off and make them laugh even harder.
When I think off "gas people" I think of the rich guys on the movie Rat Race, just sitting back gambling their money away on the most retarded [censored].
